Hello, I'm Kayla

Better known as Posey’s mom! She is the reason I have gotten involved in this amazing community as she is rocking that extra chromosome. Posey was born in 2015 and changed our world for the better. Once we received her post-birth diagnosis my husband and I have never looked back. We were connected with the DSNNN shortly after her birth after doing research of our own and have been to every buddy walk since representing Posey’s Posse. I am very involved in her life and I am a huge advocate for inclusion because we believe everyone belongs and seeing how much Posey’s peers love her, lights my fire even more! My husband and I are high school sweethearts and have loved each other for over 20 years. We have 3 children total, Awstyn is our oldest, Posey in the middle and Bodie is our youngest! I was a dental assistant for 14 years and recently started my office managing career at the same dental office and love it. I also run a dental assistant school, teaching all the knowledge I have learned to the next generation! My passion is to change peoples lives for the better and give back to the community as much as I can! If you ever see us out and about, come say hi!
